The R-301 Carbine has always been a safe and reliable choice in-game and Season 5 didn't change that. It's the one assault rifle that most players feel comfortable with thanks in large part to it having rather low kick when shot. When playing the best thing to do is work on fully kitting the gun while looking for an R-99. Some may scoff at this entry as both the skin and weapon seem to not be befitting of this list at first glance. The L-Star, much like the Mastiff which will be discussed later on, is a weapon that was once relegated to care packages but spawns in the overworld in Season 5. A weapon that doesn't require you to reload it is pretty powerful, you just need to make sure it doesn't overheat. You can become rather careless with ammunition when you forget about reloading, so just be aware of your energy ammo supply. The speed at which your weapon can fire can become all too important, and the L-Star is best in cl
