Hidden Fees & High Anxiety: Customization Was Fun, But The Checkout Was A Nightmare ⚠️

This was supposed to be a fun, creative shopping trip, but my terrible experience left me feeling completely blindsided by the costs. I'm writing this as a cautionary tale for anyone thinking of customizing an item here. While the customization process itself was enjoyable, the anxiety of not knowing what I was truly committing to overshadowed everything. My final conclusion was,

"It's fun but not sure about pricing etc."

This lack of clarity is exactly why I felt compelled to reach out to customer service—I need them to explain how they structure their fees and prevent others from walking away with the same confusing feeling I had.

Customer: I really enjoyed making the hat, but I’m incredibly frustrated about how the pricing works. Everything felt vague until I was at the register.

CS Rep: I apologize if the pricing structure wasn't clear during your process. Can you tell me specifically what caused the confusion? Was it the base price versus the add-ons?

I selected three different small items for decoration, and when I asked the staff member how much they were, they just said, "We'll ring it up at the end." I felt pressured to continue, but I had no idea if those decorations were $5 or $50 each.

CS Rep: I completely understand why that would be stressful. We absolutely need to do a better job of displaying or communicating the individual costs of customizations upfront. That is not the transparent experience we aim for.

Customer: So what is the solution? Are those prices available somewhere online or on a physical menu that I missed?

CS Rep: They should have been communicated directly during the consultation. We are implementing clearer, itemized lists right now, but for immediate help, I can send you a breakdown of the standard tiers for your reference right now, and perhaps offer a discount code for your next visit to make up for this ambiguity.

The reason I left this review on the website is to hopefully prevent others from falling into the same trap.
