Harry Potter: When Exactly Hogwarts Legacy Takes Place

For now, it's completely unknown if Albus Dumbledore will actually appear in **Hogwarts Legacy ** . However, depending on the exact decade in which the game takes place, he could realistically show up at Hogwarts as a student. It seems highly plausible, although Harry Potter fans may have to wait a while for any official confirmat

I’m not the biggest Harry Potter Fan, but I do love a good RPG. I can’t deny that there's tons of source material from the books that could be transmogged into RPG mechanics. I just hope that the developers see that,

Another thing worth noting is in 1875, the Ministry of Magic passes the Decree for the Reasonable Restriction of Underage Sorcery, in which young magic users are forbidden from using magic outside of Hogwarts. It's hard to say for certain, but the trailer seems to portray students using magic outside of the school grounds. How interesting it would be if the player's actions in the game bring about this law. While nothing has been confirmed, it seems highly probable that **Hogwarts Legacy ** will take place in the 1870s, but there is still much room for speculat

Maybe you’ve always wanted to be an animagus so you can transform into an animal with a bad reputation, like an alligator or a vulture. Of course, becoming an animagus isn’t officially dark magic, but there’s a lot of dark stuff that can be accomplished with extra teeth and claws. If Hogwarts: A Dark Legacy doesn’t involve an animagus track, I want my money b

Warner Bros.'s Hogwarts Legacy _ is set in the 19th century, but when exactly in the _Harry Potter universe will it take place? The announcement trailer for Hogwarts Legacy confirms the events will occur in the late 1800s, which is still vague. Hexes, jinxes, curses, are all technically dark magic but you can learn a good chunk of them in a charms class. Stacking a skill tree with stinging jinxes and fiendfyre—a very big target seeking flame—would make for some interesting du

So, here’s a game based on the best part of one of the biggest franchises of our time. Now, how can Hogwarts Legacy do what other lore building material like the Fantastic Beasts series couldn’t? Well, I have some id

It’s about time somebody made a proper game based on the Harry Potter universe. Don’t get me wrong, I don’t really care about the franchise anymore, but I know a lot of people who still do. So, when Warner Bros. announced that it was making a game based on J.K. Rowling’s work, the only reaction I could conjure up was, "M

Now this may sound a bit creepy, but let’s say that ‘Ravenclaw Student’s Hair’ was a collectible item; that could possibly allow you to brew a Polyjuice potion that would morph you into said student and get you access into an otherwise restricted Ravenclaw dorm. If memory serves, the only characters in the movies with tattoos, other than the fully indoctrinated Death Eaters, did some time in Azkaban. Witches and Wizards don't just get thrown into Azkaban over small offenses either. Being able to customize a character in a Harry Potter game that’s dressed head to toe in black and oozing that bad boy/girl vibe will call to people in a way that mom jeans and converse just don

Hogwarts Legacy is an RPG, and one of the first things you do in an RPG is to choose your character class. Incidentally, one of the first things students do when they arrive at Hogwarts is get told which room they'll be sleeping in for the next seven years by a grumpy old hat. If you remember the books, Harry whispered to the hat that he wanted to join Gryffindor; if the game gave you such a choice, it would ideally set your base stats. Choosing Gryffindor would earn you a high charisma base, Ravenclaw would lean towards intelligence, Slytherin gives you higher stats in potion brewing, and choosing Hufflepuff would get you… I don’t know… carrying capacity? Or whatever Hufflepuff students are good

Now that **Hogwarts Legacy ** has been revealed during Sony's PS5 Showcase, Harry Potter fans have their first glimpse at the upcoming Wizarding World video game. A lot of details aren't known at this time; however, the game is set during the 1800s, putting it as one of the earliest settings fans have seen in author J.K. Rowling's Wizarding World. Because of the time period, most Harry Potter characters won't be at Hogwarts (or even born yet). However, one popular character could be: Albus Dumbled
