NieR: Automata Director Responds to Controversy and Praises Fellow Games

YS: In this world there are many androids, and many mechanical lifeforms as well, but we will be revealing more than ten of them in a trailer that we plan to release at Tokyo Game Show. Please look forward to t

In most games, when you compose the tracks, you compose them for a place, or a moment, or a scene, but for NieR I composed for each character and their emotions at any given moment. A character may feel sad during a battle, and usually a battle sequence would have fierce music, but for NieR , if the character feels sad, I made sure to have that kind of feeling in that fiercen

Crossovers with Phantasy Star Online 2 and Monster Hunter Frontier Z were also announced, with the implementation of equipment and quests dedicated to NieR: Automata . More details will be announced at a later d

YS: As you may know already, the previous title was not what you'd call a "huge success," but it does have a big cult following. When we thought about creating a new title for the franchise, I thought that it needs to become a greater success. To do that, I wanted to have my favorite composer, my favorite director, my favorite artist and my favorite designer, so I asked everyone to join and to create a success that I think is necessary for this franchise. I'm very glad that you feel the same

NieR: Automata represents a big step forward for the series, as it attempts to correct the many mistakes that were made in the original NieR while also preserving its core sense of identity. Fans of the original game praise its story and character development as its biggest selling points, and NieR: Automata will have to carefully balance all of the innovations it is bringing to combat with the things that made the first NieR memorable in spite of its fl

Yoko-san might be referring to this post , in which Twitter user Kibu  provided a  handy gallery of a whole lot of dedicated fan art, for which the Game Director took time to thank him personally . On the other hand, user kuchiekoo  provided an actual zip . It's worth mentioning that, while the art included in both links is absolutely charming, it might be considered not safe for work in some workplaces, so click at your own r

In a tight, closed space, sounds don’t echo very much. In a wide open room like the one above, though, echoes last longer. Echoes also change depending on the materials that make up an area: They’re louder when you’re surrounded by metal than when you’re surrounded by dirt, for example. Each area you explore in a game needs its own reverb settings to get these echoes just right.

Square Enix Japan doesn't seem to have trouble showing it off even in official promotional screenshots, as you can see below, and during the latest livestream, Producer Yosuke Saito even took some time to clarify that the white underwear worn by 2B isn't actually panties, but the bottom of a leot

Kadokawa Games brought the addictive concept of the ship girls to overwhelming success with Kantai Collection , and Starly Girls seems to have the full potential to translate that concept to mecha battles, creating another successful franch

While some among the easily offended crowd might take issue at the display, a whole lot of artistically-inclined fans appear to be appreciating, and that has given birth to a veritable cornucopia of fan art prominently showcasing 2B's rear

Here we’re working on an animation for the boss robot you saw in the E3 2016 trailer. This boss came with some special directions from the designer in charge of mechanical characters: She has a lot of joints that can only bend back and forth in one direction, giving her believably robotic movements. For example, in her shoulders alone there’s a detailed division between parts that can only turn one way, and parts that can only turn the other way. This robotic joint structure applies to this character’s entire model, as well as other robots in NieR: Automata.

class=What you see here is a test level where we check characters’ animations to make sure they’re ready to go in the game. We also use this level to try out visual effects, like the sword arc you can see above, as well as special effects like clouds of dust, explosions and more.

Those interested in checking out what should be one of the first big RPG releases of 2017 should head over to the PlayStation Store now to begin downloading their copy of the demo. First impressions matter a lot, and if the buzz surrounding the demo is any indication, NieR Automata beginner guide|https://nierautomatafans.com/: Automata could be a sleeper hit waiting to happen - perhaps Square Enix and Platinum Games will be able to combine to top the former's incredible 2016 after

Often sequels end up failing to be as charming as their predecessors, but this definitely not the case with Gravity Rush 2 . The game improves on Gravity Rush in basically every aspect, and not just by a lit

Incidentally, if you look at the wall in the second image, it's quite noticeable that there is a lot less aliasing. Keep in mind that the livestream was in 720p, so the game will look better than in the screenshots, that are intended only for comparison purpo
