A Guide to Understanding Monetization in Destiny 2: Shadowkeep, New Light

There’s no justification for this other than Bungie thinking they can get away with it and they most certainly will. When Forsaken launches in September, Destiny fans will have been waiting for about a year for the game to finally become what it should have been in the first place. If Forsaken turns out to be as good as it looks, then Bungie deserves to be rewarded for it. There’s no excuse for all the scumminess surrounding it, though, especially when there are similar games like Monster Hunter World, Warframe and Rainbow Six: Siege that are all enjoying massive success without dipping into any exploitative business practices.

The Worm God Roll Armor Guide seems to be the most distressed, angry, and complicated boss in the game. Libras tend to avoid conflict and are generally gentle and diplomatic, but they might be able to relate to Xol's (possible) insecurity due to being the weakest Worm

sins2_ptprel_ss01.pngFor a free experience, Destiny 2: New Light does provide a lot to do. In many ways, you can experience a lot of the best parts of Destiny 2 without paying for anything. If you haven’t given Destiny 2 a shot yet, New Light is worth downloading.

It’s new expansion time with Bungie rolling out Destiny 2: Forsaken this week and with it comes all sorts of changes that might as well be an entirely new game...OK maybe not entirely. Forsaken does change quite a bit, though, and if freshly coming back or starting up these little list of helpful tips should set any Guardian on the right path to taking it easy while enjoying the most of Forsaken; this is not an end all be all just some things noticed in the initial first few hours that will make getting through The Reef and the rest of the galaxy easier when taking down the big bad Uldren.

The third Destiny 2 dungeon, the Prophecy Dungeon has a recommended Power Level of 1040 , and some of the enemies have Power Levels of 1060. Before starting the dungeon, rank up your characters to the max Power Level to increase your chances of walking out of this dungeon al

Now that you’re back in the wasteland of Destiny 2 , follow the Kell Echo to your next location. It will be shooting at you, so take care not to get too close. Approaching him will also cause him to teleport, so keep a distance. Kell Echo is the final boss, but it’s not time to face him yet. On the way, you may run into the Emissary. Come close to it to learn lore, and every member of the team will receive something different. After following the Kell Echo, You will find another crack to go through, and you will arrive at the Singular

This might be the cheesiest tip in here, but have fun. Bungie has made it a point to make Forsaken a long, drawn out affair and wants players to enjoy Forsaken not blindly rush through it and feel like nothing was gained. There is so much to do and see with Forsaken that anyone who is breezing through it in a day saying that they saw nothing probably hasn’t seen it all. Yes, the main story can be had in a day, but that’s not the hobby part of Forsaken that Bungie was pushing that was just the initial leap. Forsaken is a deep pool with so many secrets, loot and other things to be had it’s impossible to see it all within the week. Bungie has wised up to how players tackled Destiny and they want Guardians to get the most out of their play time. Whether playing intensely for hours on end day to day or logging in for just a few hours to an hour, there's always something to do; a quest to be chased, a new piece of gear to be had or a mystery to be solved. There is no shortage of what's in Forsaken and having only spent less than a day in it, it’s clear that the Forsaken is only showing the tip of the iceberg.

The dreaded Eververse store is back and Bungie really wants you to know about it. Previously, the store was relegated to the Tower and completely skippable. That’s no longer the case as Bungie has slapped the storefront into the Director, a menu players need to frequently bring up.

As a fan of Halo-era Bungie and of Destiny in general, it sucks having to point this out now that Bungie has finally shown some signs of passion for Destiny. Forsaken has all the hallmarks of a product that’s had some real love and care put into it, and the team behind it deserves all the praise and kudos that they’re currently enjoying for it. If it manages to meet the sky-high expectations this past week’s reveal has no doubt inspired in the Destiny community, then they’ll deserve even more. Forsaken and it’s team aren’t the issue here, but rather Destiny in general and specifically Bungie’s incessant need to squeeze its player base for all they’re worth. It can be done better. It is being done better by several others. So what exactly is Bungie’s excuse for treating their fans like a bunch of simpletons with bottomless wallets? Do they even think they need one? Hopefully they’re not that far-gone, but since they’ve been employing these same practices for almost three years now and are now escalating even further, refuting such an impression is difficult to say the least.
