Battlefield 6 Returning To Present Day Says Insider

Internal playtesting for Battlefield 6 is already underway, says Wilson, and that feedback on the game has been positive so far. With the game set to launch sometime late next year, the company plans to show off more about its next Battlefield game in the coming spring. According to EA, Battlefield 6 will be one of six new next-generation games, which also include a new Need for Speed game, that the company plans to launch during the 2022 fiscal year, which runs from April 2021 to March 2

It’s undeniable that Battlefield 5 was the most disappointing entry in the series for many players, and both EA and DICE have a lot of work to do with **Battlefield 6 ** if they want to make up for all of its predecessor’s shortcomings. Hopefully, both companies have learned from the failure of Battlefield 5 and are able to revive hope and excitement for the series when they finally reveal more information on the game next y

The Battlefield franchise has been dormant for some time, with Battlefield 5 ’s release back in November 2018 being the last new entry in the series. EA has finally revealed when the next Battlefield game will be arriving, though for fans anxious for more Battlefield action, it seems like the wait will go on for a good bit lon

The current game in the series, Battlefield 2042 beginner guide|https://Battlefield2042hq.com/ 5 , was marred with issues from the day it was released. The game not only felt incomplete, with its miniscule map roster and plethora of bugs, but future updates were incredibly inconsistent and many promised features never saw the light of day, such as the 5v5 competitive mode . Even its attempt at a battle royale mode, called Firestorm in Battlefield 5 , wasn’t safe from its own set of issues. Battlefield 5’s life cycle was so turbulent that its final content patch was released last summer , more than a year before the next game in the series is expected to rele

Then the Modern Warfare reboot implemented Gunsmith , which leveraged its perk systems with an obscene level of weapon customization. Players could choose up to five different attachments from a selection of nine categories, ranging from weapon muzzles to ammo capacities. The freedom in choice is massive, allowing for various builds on weapons that would either be invalidated or at least considered weaker in previous Call of Duty games. Loosening the attachment restrictions has lead to a wealth of variety in weapon choice and customizat

Not much was said about the next-generation Battlefield . However during the call's Q&A, Wilson responded to a comment about the title saying he expects that DICE LA's new lead Vince Zampella and David Rota, the head of their European studios, are "having a really strong impact" and their teams will "do some pretty amazing thin

Class customization in Call of Duty was relatively simplistic when it was first introduced in Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare . Where Battlefield used classes as a form of strategic team composition, Call of Dut y 's Create-A-Class system focused more on player preference than anything else. Battlefield would eventually implement some broader aspects of weapon/equipment customization as a result, but never compromised on its commitment to team strategy. Then, Gunsmith in Modern Warfare brought weapon customization to a new le

Battlefield 6 , or whatever it ends up being called, will be the twelfth game in the series that started all the way back in 2002 with the original and beloved Battlefield 1942 . So far we have seen games set in the present, the past, the near future and even the far off future with the fourth game, Battlefield 2142 . The games in this series are all first-person shooters, and tend to focus on large-scale, high player count multiplayer with vehicles and destructible environments. There is an emphasis on teamwork throughout the games, although the latter entries also feature single-player campaigns in an effort for the franchise to better compete with Call of Du

If anything, the changes made in Battlefield 3 's weapon customization served as a basis for what was to come. At the time, Battlefield 3 's rival was Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 , which was still utilizing its tried-and-true weapon customization that was introduced and refined in the previous Modern Warfare titles. Every weapon in that game was constrained to one attachment unless players selected the "Attachments" weapon proficiency that allowed for two attachments. Balance concerns likely would've been the main concern with allowing more than one/two attachments per weapon, especially in tandem with the perk selection in the game's multipla

There's options, and in a game like Battlefield , options are what make the games interesting. Implementing a Gunsmith-like system would make the soldier classes feel less linear/restricting, whilst also allowing players to fulfill specific roles dependa

What's more impressive is how, even with all these elements of choice and weapon customization, guns still fit right in with the staples of the Create-A-Class system. Even amongst all of the possibilities of unfair advantages with Gunsmith, the system was balanced surprisingly well with perk distribution in multiplayer. Duplicates like faster reloading perks were adjusted and changed, and some existing perks were routed into different tiers to compensate for new weapon perks and attachments. Gunsmith's comprehensive customization allowed greater variety, largely without sacrificing competitive balance in the process. There have been some egregious exceptions in Modern Warfare like the GRAU , but for the most part the game has aptly balanced guns and perks quite w
