MarchThere's A Zelda Timeline Split You Never Knew About
Another popular fan theory is that of Demise's reappearance in TOTK . First introduced in Skyward Sword , Demise serves as the final boss of that game. Known as the Demon King, Demise once commanded an evil army in seeking out the powerful Triforce, but was defeated and sealed away by the goddess Hylia and the legions of surface dwellers who worshiped her. Afterward, he took the form of The Imprisoned, a giant, scaly monster. In Skyward Sword , Link repeatedly drives him back in his beastly form until the game's main antagonist, Ghirahim, steals Zelda's soul and uses it to resurrect Demise. In the end, Link defeats him one final time, but that doesn't mean that Demise's return in TOTK __ is impossi
Minor details in trailers for The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom _ suggest that the villain Demise could return in the upcoming sequel. Nintendo has been selective about what details it divulges ahead of the game's release, leaving room for speculation. Many have latched onto even the most trivial sights and sounds in trailers, developing theories about what might happen in the game - for example, whether it'll be revealed that _TOTK 's Zonai created the Four Swo
Link was always left-handed. In early games, he was nearly always depicted carrying his sword in his left hand, it was outright written in the handbook for The Adventure of Link that he picked up his sword in his left hand, and the only changes to this were when his little 2D sprite flipped over to face backwards. That all changed with Twilight Princess, and not without good reason. Word has it that Shigeru Miyamoto himself noticed that most players at the Zelda E3 booth that year, testing out hacking and slashing with WIimote and Nunchuck, were right-handed. He thought it would be confusing for right-handed players (the majority) to control Link’s left hand with their right. And so, the entire game was mirrored before release. Link was right-han
Over the years we’ve labelled the presence of weapon degradation as impeding whatever progress we’re hoping to make, whether it be during a shrine or the puzzle-covered innards of a Divine Beast. To that I say - come better prepared if you can help it. Breath of the Wild’s small yet ambitious selection of base mechanics all interact with one another and all of your equipment in fascinating ways. Metallic weapons can be paired with currents of electricity to solve puzzles, or the momentum of stasis combined with quick attack bursts can send Link and pretty much anything else hurtling into the stratosphere. You are rewarded for pushing back against expectations and trying things that wouldn’t traditionally be expected, and so often rewarded for thinking outside the box.
The final pre-launch trailer for TOTK , which was released on April 13, 2023, contains a music cue that points toward Demise's return. Occurring around the 1:08 mark in the video, the scene shows a building rising from the desert sand, then a vista of Hyrule Castle with debris falling from the sky. A figure with long, fiery hair like Demise's appears before a rising blood moon and begins to turn toward the camera, but the trailer cuts away before showing his face. This is all scored to a piano rendition of the Hyrule Castle theme that originally appeared in A Link to the Pa
But perhaps Demise meant what he said more literally. It's not exactly obvious where BOTW falls on the Zelda continuity timeline , although __ the sequel may attempt to clarify that. Since Skyward Sword ends with Demise imprisoned within the Master Sword, and trailers reveal that the Master Sword will be destroyed in TOTK , it's possible that Demise will once again escape his prison and return to wreak havoc on Hyr
