DecemberThanks, Game Devs, For Helping Me Stay Sane Through A Crisis
It seems players rarely take the time to appreciate video game developers. Twitter feeds and game forums are frequently filled with game criticism. Even in normal circumstances, gamers fail to openly appreciate the efforts of those who work so hard. We may not know these workers by name, but they're working diligently to create brilliant stories, designs and technology that allow us to enjoy this form of immers
Toxicity is nothing new in gaming. But I fail to understand why we should continue to allow this behavior to continue if there’s something we can do to mitigate it and reward those who don’t engage. I’ve had friends uninstall Apex Legends due to frustration with random squadma
The Slum Lanes can be a bit of a maze to newer players but the good thing about this area is that it can be easy to get lost when meeting up with other players. Unless someone is using Bloodhound or Crypto, this area is easy to get the jump on others and escape if needed. The area has a lot of loot chests here as well but they are spread out and most of the loot is just lying on the floor in each building. Not a lot of players come to this location and is a good place to go if avoidance of the pack is the strat
A new zone in Season 5, Fortnite Battle royale Salvage replaces the combined area of Skulltown and Thunderdome. It’s a very active zone with a lot of loot, and there are only a few ways to escape should a player land here and find themselves facing numerous other squads. Players also have to be careful of the water, because it’s very easy to fall off the map while fighting h
So it’s perhaps but a small gesture that we should take moment to show thanks to these people who provide an integral, role in our daily lives. Thanks so much to each and every developer and development team member who continues to work hard amid a crisis. I hope that you do so with the understanding that you’re improving the lives of millions of people who would be lost with video games and the communities these games insp
The Gauntlet looks strangely familiar to a skate park except it has a ring of fire and a ton of loot. It will be highly populated which means anyone coming into this area definitely needs their A-Game or it's going to be a quick match. There can be a great piece of loot in the fire ring by using the jump pads but the real attraction here is the easy access to multiple supply bins and the ability to move to the next looting locations right after. Most players will end up landing here and then going straight to the Market location right after or the Salvage area. It was designed with Octane in mind and if playing with him, take advantage of the open area and jump pads to speed up and get the drop on the oppone
A new location that debuted in Season 5, Capacitor is a busy zone due to its central location, tons of cover, three charge towers and lots of loot. It’s an attractive option for squads looking to loot up and immediately fight. It also connects to Labs via a backdoor, making it easy for enemy squads to surprise those looting Capaci
One solution is the one that Overwatch implemented, which allows players to endorse other players at the end of each game. In that game, endorsements only reflect positive attributes, such as Sportsmanship, Good Teammate and Shot Cal
Though relatively quiet, because of its close proximity to Labs, Hydro Dam and Repulsor, it’s common for squads that have looted those areas to move to Swamps to see what else they can find. It’s also very easy to get separated from teammates here, so keep an eye one anot
Tactical Ability- Burglar's Best Friend: Loba can throw the bracelet on her wrist in order to teleport to the location it lands. This can be used to teleport to hard to reach areas. This ability does leave Loba vulnerable for a few seconds before teleport
This area is great if it can be gotten quickly. Not only are there a few supply bins inside the two bunker areas but there are also multiple supply bins just on the outside of them. It also has a few small buildings linked to them with more supplies, multiple levels for combat, and has two entrances into the area making escape a bit easier. This is a highly populated area so be ready for a fight when dropping
This tube-like area in Kings Canyon doesn't have too much loot but it's enough for a team of three to get and make due. It's a very good location to drop into as it has three exits all leading to other high loot areas like Slum Lane. This will allow the team to look at which location is under siege and either join in the fight or avoid it altogether. If meeting up with opponents here, there is not a ton of cover so going on the offense and small flanking maneuvers will be valuable tactics h
As applied to randoms, this optional metric would be a terrific way to incentivize good behavior. Perhaps the result of numerous positive endorsements could be a guaranteed legendary item, a unique skydive emote or a special profile ba
