The obvious answer is because they want a new experience. That’s why new games keep getting made and why pretty much every game has a limited lifespan. Once their player has had their fill, they move on to the next big th
Harry Potter: Wizards Unite is doing a number of things to celebrate Dark Arts Month. There's the two-part Fighting Forces Brilliant Event, during which players will come face-to-face with Death Eaters, escaped Azkaban prisoners, Sirius Black (but he's a good guy?), and Dementors. Furthermore, a Halloween quest will begin on October 31, in which players will explore a Dark Arts-themed Fortress Chamber and win some special rewa
Crescendum (Chakram): Can't auto attack again until the projectile bounces back, but when returned, it resets his basic attack. Casting abilities creates copies of the chakram which then strengthens his basic attacks based on the amount he's hol
Still, I miss the accuracy of a mouse for skill shots. The characters don't quite have the charm of Ahri, Rumble, or any of my other LoL mains. I find their voice acting annoying, and their 3D models don't quite live up to their art. I don't see myself dropping cash for skins. In the end, I think I just want to scratch the MOBA itch I've been ignoring for years. Genesis definitely does that, and will do so for any curious PS4 owners. It also doesn't require PS Plus, which is a... plus. Give it a shot as your first MOBA, or first MOBA in years. If you have a PC, however, stick to the class
Before I talk Genesis gameplay , I feel like I have to share my MOBA experience. My street cred, if you will. I played a lot of LoL during its heyday, and made it a point to collect all Heroes Of The Storm Beginners the Ahri and Rumble skins. When ranked was first introduced, I grouped up with four friends and tried to take on the world. We fought hard just to stay in Gold Rank. We once experimented with Dota 2 , which I enjoyed but also too complex to stick with. After the team dissolved, I played Smite briefly. With this in mind, I feel rather confident in saying that Genesis plays like an easier League of Legen
You can easily make the argument that video games are a saturated market; anyone who wants to buy a game can easily do so through any number digital distribution platforms for either home console, PC, or mobile device. This doesn’t stop games from being sold, but it does make it a little harder for new games to get noticed. After all, there’s a whole wide world of huge games out there, so why would any gamer bother with something
It’s unclear whether universal control over games that operate under the catch-all domain of esports will ever exist. Escalating conflict between streaming platforms that compete for viewer attention certainly isn’t helping the case for unified growth. It’s also worth questioning whether universal control is even needed. Larger titles seem to be doing just fine supporting their own leagues. A 16-year-old just took home $3 million at the first-ever _ Fortnite _ World Cup, after
Anthem is taking advantage of its sibling status to the beloved Mass Effect series in its Season of Skulls Halloween event. Players will get the chance to use Asari, Krogan, Quarian, and Turian armor during the event, along with new weekly and seasonal challenges and an increased legendary drop rate. The Season of Skulls will also be a bit of a lore drop, with a fog gathering around Fort Tarsis and "intriguing secrets" scattered throughout
Both LoL and Dota2 would arrive in open beta roughly around the same time, but Riot got the jump on Valve by releasing League of Legends in October 2009. Since then, LoL 's popularity has simply exploded. By 2012, LoL was the most popular game in the world and by Jan of 2014 the game had 67 million people playing it every month. LoL was easily the most popular game viewed on either YouTube or Twitch, and with that many eyeballs came an exploding eSports scene. Professional tournaments began in 2011 with the League of Legends World Championships providing the best team in the world a top prize of $1 mill
Since its birth, it has always been completely free to play, unlike League which involves unlocking Runes and farming to unlock new Champions. As long as you have a Steam account, you can play DOTA2 and will always be on an even playing field with other players, aside from sheer skill and cosmet
Overwatch is going all out for its Halloween Terror event with new skins and in-game rewards, plus the return of Junkenstein's Revenge co-op mode. Every week, Junkenstein will offer new and spooky character-themed winner rewards: nine wins in each of the three weeks will yield icons, sprays, and skins for Junkrat, Baptiste, and Sombra, in that or
