Cyberpunk 2077 Players Warned Of Epileptic Seizure Risk [UPDATED]

Unfortunately, this does not count as the first instance of so-called "fans" taking things to an uncomfortable degree of despicable behavior this year. It's not the first time the discourse surrounding Cyberpunk 2077 has centered on the horrible actions of certain segments of the community, either. Upon announcing the RPG's third and final delay, CD Projekt RED staff were sent death threats and other abusive messages from people upset about a game release's 21-day postponem

For some unfathomable reason, Liana Ruppert's helpful warnings triggered something else: insensitive trolls. Since posting the PSA on Game Informer and Twitter, the journalist has received a series of unsolicited videos, many of which purport to be those offering support. In a follow-up Twitter post, however, Ruppert says that some toxic gamers have instead sent clips of flashing imagery that can " induce photosensitive triggers ," which is particularly terrible since Ruppert has confirmed that she is epileptic and suffered a " bad seizure " while playing the game. She's since warned others who are sharing her posts that if they, too, suffer from epilepsy and get sent a suspicious video, it is best to avoid viewing

The console is so impressive that it is comparable to an official Cyberpunk 2077 themed bundle, such as the Microsoft one. In a fortuitous move for players who enjoy putting in the effort to customize their consoles, the PS5 and Xbox Series X are both fairly straightforward when it comes to customization for those who know they're doing and have the necessary tools. Thanks to removable faceplates on the PS5 and controller, Sony's newest console is slightly easier for fans to customize compared to its Xbox competitor. However, these pictures indicate there are plenty of Xbox Series X players who are keeping

Redditor Santiago-Cruz has revealed pictures of the custom Xbox product, showing the incredible level of intricacy behind creating such an impressive design. The unique console includes a yellow and black background and engravings that weave in and around a 3-D plate of the game's logo. Every detail is meticulously accounted for. There has always been hype surrounding Cyberpunk 2077, and now that the release is less than a week away, this fan-made custom Xbox Series X took r/XboxOne and other subreddits by st

In fact, the fan-made custom job is so good that it is not unreasonable to surmise that it looks even better than Xbox 's own official Cyberpunk 2077 Endings|https://Cyberpunk2077fans.com/ 2077 bundle. The limited-edition bundle was available to purchase back in June, including a custom Xbox wireless controller inspired by one of the game's biggest characters: Johnny Silverhand . While Microsoft's Xbox One X is impressive with its cybernetic design and multicolored panels, the sleek customization of the Reddit user's Xbox Series X is in a league of its

Unfortunately, not all aspects of the game's visual presentation are worth getting excited about. A Game Informer correspondent has issued a PSA to alert fans about certain elements that do not play well with epilepsy, having encountered at least one seizure herself while playing. General triggers were identified from the red glitching visual effect that pops up frequently throughout the story progression, as well as flickering pale blue lights that appear when talking to Keanu Reeves' character, Johnny Silverhand . Due to the bombastic nature of Night City, the correspondent identified several "danger zones" for epileptic gamers when entering bars and nightclubs. The game's Braindance mechanic was identified as a particular area of concern; the headset that the protagonist dons to engage with the mechanic bears a surprising similarity to a medical headset used to trigger seizures, and is unfortunately roughly as effective. The correspondent recommends looking away whenever the headset appears, and using caution and, if possible, the buddy system to navigate the Braindance mechanic its

In order to foment this excitement, CD Projekt Red has released a new launch trailer for the upcoming title on YouTube. The two-minute video places a strong emphasis on protagonist V and the journey they take through Night City. Death is a very common topic of discussion in the trailer, which sets V up for a clearly plot-significant brush with their own mortality. The character's relationship with the dangerous dystopian city around them is also a major focus, and it's obvious that their actions in the game will likely shake Night City to its core, and possibly even burn it to the ground. To that end, the trailer is based around a central question posed by an NPC at the end of the trailer: "Would you rather live in peace as Mr. Nobody... or go down for all times in a blaze of glory?" Watch the full video be

It's possible that CD Projekt Red has whipped up some sort of ARG in order to help promote the game. These are always entertaining and engaging advertising campaigns; Activision proved that earlier this year with an in-depth ARG to promote Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War . Activision went all-out on this project, mailing slide projectors to fans and giving them a cryptic website full of puzzles to solve, and even a copy of classic text adventure game Zork . These efforts certainly paid off for Activision and were well in line with the conspiracy-heavy setting of the game. Cybernight might be a similar project, perhaps giving fans the chance to participate in some sort of digital heist. Or maybe it's the name of a mission in the game, or a special event CD Projekt Red will be hosting on release
