In order to foment this excitement, CD Projekt Red has released a new launch trailer for the upcoming title on YouTube. The two-minute video places a strong emphasis on protagonist V and the journey they take through Night City. Death is a very common topic of discussion in the trailer, which sets V up for a clearly plot-significant brush with their own mortality. The character's relationship with the dangerous dystopian city around them is also a major focus, and it's obvious that their actions in the game will likely shake Night City to its core, and possibly even burn it to the ground. It's possible that CD Projekt Red has whipped up some sort of ARG in order to help promote the game. These are always entertaining and engaging advertising campaigns; Activision proved that earlier this year with an in-depth ARG to promote Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War . Activision went all-out on this project, mailing slide projectors to fans and giving them a cryptic website full of puzzles to solve, and even a copy of classic text adventure game Zork . These efforts certainly paid off for Activision and were well in line with the conspiracy-heavy setting of the game.
