Glasses for Women Small Face: My Shopping Guide

As a woman with a small face, finding glasses for women small face that actually fit has been a journey. Most standard frames overwhelm my features and slide down constantly. Here's what I learned.

My Small Face Challenge

My face measures about 125mm wide, which is smaller than average. Standard women's frames (usually 135-140mm) look oversized on me and feel uncomfortable.

The Right Measurements for Small Faces

Through trial and error, I found my ideal sizing:

Lens width: 47-50mm (standard is 52-54mm)

Bridge: 16-17mm

Temple length: 135-140mm

Total frame width: 125-130mm

Frame Styles That Work

I've found that certain styles are more flattering on small faces:

Delicate, thinner frames - Don't overwhelm my features

Cat-eye styles - Add interest without bulk

Oval or round shapes - Soften my face

Lighter colors - Less visually heavy

What to Avoid

I learned to stay away from:

Oversized or trendy large frames

Very thick or heavy frames

Wide rectangular styles

Where to Find Petite Frames

I specifically search for "petite glasses" or "small frame glasses for women." Some brands specialize in smaller sizing, which makes shopping much easier.

My Shopping Tip

Always check measurements before buying. If a retailer doesn't list frame dimensions, the glasses are probably standard sizing that won't fit me properly.
