PUBG Region-Locked China, But It Hasn't Brought Players Back

The year of 2009 is shaping up to be one of the more important years of modern gaming. This was the year that saw the birth of many of the current giants of the industry. It was the year that saw the real beginning of the Assassin’s Creed series, the beta release of Mincraft, and was the year when Uncharted 2: Among Thieves released and blew away all expectations. It’s also the year that saw the release of ARMA 2, the game would come to serve as the spawning point for both PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds (aka "PUBG") and the battle royale arena genre in general. Upon its release, ARMA 2 was received as a competent, https://pubgmcentral.xyz/articles/Brendan-greene-s-metaverse-vision-beyond-profit.html though mostly unremarkable, tactical shooter. Still, it managed to gain a small, but healthy, following thanks to its wide variety of weapons and realistic ballistics. Left to its own devices, ARMA 2 would have faded into obscurity as its player slowly bled away but that’s not quite what happed. See, the game also happened to attract a strong modding community, one that would propel it back into the limelight three years later.

As bad as Fallout 76 is, though, it pales in comparison to the way Bethesda handled communication over the game. Pre-order customers were disgusted by the presentation of the Power Armor edition of the game, with a canvas bag that failed to make it into the version dedicated buyers expected. Bethesda claimed it had been too expensive to make, but that didn't stop them from sending out a similar product to "influencers" for fr

R45 was a pretty popular handgun back when it was released, but after the arrival of Desert Eagle, it has completely been forgotten. Its kill power pales whenever compared to Desert Eagle or classic R1895, and its magazine size or handling is nothing to brag about either. It’s hardly used nowadays and isn’t viable at all, especially in a competitive mode. R45 best fits as a makeshift weapon before a player find any primary weap

MK14 is one of the most sought after guns in the game because of insane versatility and high base damage. You can put the gun in automatic mode, and it will essentially become an assault rifle, or you can use it as a sniper rifle for picking out enemies far away. Whether it’s a close-combat or a long-range skirmish, MK14 suffices every role. It also has a ridiculous DPS, and players capable of handling MK14 often net high ki

However, when it came to existing properties and the monolith that is Steam, Valve had a bit of a more difficult year. Curation on Steam had become an elephant in the room, and Valve's decision to wash its hands of any regulation didn't go over well, particularly when this was followed up by the news that the company would then indefinitely delay all adult-themed video games on the platf

Fans from around the world have long asked Bluehole to block Chinese players from accessing other regions, and Eastern gaming titan Tencent even introduced a host of region-exclusive servers for PUBG Mobile in the hopes that it would incentivize players based in China to stay within their digital territ

Bethesda has had a rough ride with the deployment of Fallout 76 . There have been so many issues with the game that I could fill this article just by listing them. From the less than stellar reviews and the collector's edition bag saga, through to the major personal data leak , the issues were already racking up even before the disaster that is Fallout Fi

Another SMG making the list, Micro Uzi has been the star of the competitive show in recent times. When it comes to close-combat, Micro Uzi can decimate every other assault rifle in the game. The only downside of the gun is the lack of range and that players need to connect their bullets for better damage as Micro Uzi’s spray is very quick and rapid. The gun is easily available throughout a game, making it a very popular choice amongst high elo play

There isn’t much to say about AWM except it has by far the highest damage in the game. A single headshot from AWM is capable enough to knock out a player with level 3 Helmet. The gun is incredible in every possible way and is air-drop exclusive, rightfully so. AWM deals maximum damage up to the range of 150 meters after which, its damage starts to fall till the range of 679 met

Within the game, you'll notice what may be the worst texture pop-in you've seen on the PlayStation 4, severe frame rate drops and the clunkiest shooting and looting mechanics. To play as a shooter experience, PUBG is bad and so it shouldn't be played for that. What it does well however, and this part translates to every version of the game (even on mobile), is the feeling of survival and when playing with others, the team-based tact

Although EA would keep to their word with Battlefield V , other titles released by the publisher still kept in these loot box microtransactions. The EA Sports line was rife with them when it came to the hugely popular Ultimate Team game modes, including in FIFA 19 and UFC 3 , while mobile strategy spin-off _Command & Conquer: Rivals _ is plagued by microtransactions - including loot bo
