10 Games To Play After PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds

Yet, as player numbers dropped and competition became more prominent, Bluehole finally caved to audience demands and removed the ability to search for games by region. While it was a well-received—albeit incredibly late—gesture, it did relatively little to stem the torrent of cheaters plaguing Western servers. Players can easily use a VPN service to artificially switch regions, and there are similar workarounds for the ping lock restriction. Things may be a little better than they once were, but aim-botting, unkillable cheaters sporting triple-digit ping figures are still fairly common in most ar

Dinoland is more about style than substance, and while players who have an affinity for SMGs and educationally-backed shootouts will enjoy it, those looking to start the game off a little better prepared should think about going elsewhere. However, Dinoland does provide a great location to start off in, as it's not only adjacent to multiple main roads but also Vikendi's new rail system, ensuring lots of options for on-foot and vehicle movement after the inevitable post-landing shoot

Even if we compare the OG maps from these two games it's a bit of a toss up as to which is the winner. Sure Fortnite has Tilted Towers, but PUBG has School; and in case you don't play the latter, School is a place where half of the lobby's players drop resulting in a massacre that leaves only one or two survivors who are barely clinging to life. But that's just the OG maps, PUBG now has four unique maps, all of which are just as good as the original in their own rights. Fortnite is finally making an alteration to it's original map, so there's not much competition h

The standalone Fortnite Battle Royale has been praised as a creative, colorful take on survival multiplayer, a sub-genre of the medium that has absolutely exploded in 2017. While most survival multiplayer games are dreary by necessity, Fortnite Battle Royale somehow adds vibrancy and an evolving canvas of options to players while still preserving the feeling of impending doom that makes it a heart-pounding endeavor. The sky is the limit for Epic Games' Fortnite Battle Royale in 20

Destiny 2 's launch saw the game praised for mitigating some of the shortcomings of its predecessor, and few games this year did a better job of uniting communities—either in praise or in criticism—than the second run 'round the galaxy for Guardians. With more content scheduled for 2018 and a reworked game system that has made Destiny 2 even more accessible , there's cause for optimism from Ghosts and Guardians alike headed into the new y

Small nuances like being able to ride a bicycle make Rules of Survival a joy to play. It has vehicles like trucks and doom buggies like PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds, which makes Rules of Survival highly similar. We can tell from its gameplay that its not the highest budget battle royale game in the market. If you can look past its graphics, Rules of Survival can be an immensely enjoyable free-to-play online battle royale g

This is the part where many gamers rightfully bash PUBG into the the grave that it deserves to die in after introducing it's shady business practices. First, charge for a game that's an unfinished buggy mess that continued to be an unfinished buggy mess for years to come. Second, bring in a shady micro-transaction lottery system that rewards you with crappy cosmetic items for a bloated price. Third, copy the fair and successful battle pass formula that Fortnite has implemented since the start of the series. Boy are those PUBG guide devs shady, and while the Epic Game's higher ups are no less shady, they at least implemented fair business practices in their most profitable g

Realm Royale does just enough to distinguish itself from Fortnite to make itself relevant in the battle royale scene. Realm Royale is still in the early access stage, but the game is free-to-play, so there is little reason not to jump into the g

Sure this is far from that "meat and potatoes" we were talking about when discussing these two titans, but Fortnite's price point, or lack of should we say, has always been a big caveat. To this day PUBG still retails for $29.99 dollars, and that remained its price point long before it was a finished game, when it was a buggy mess back in Beta. Fortnite on the other hand has been a complete package since day 1, and has always been free with a fair micro transaction system that has been adapted all over the gaming wo

A few other good locations in PUBG's updated Vikendi which it would be remiss not to mention are Goroka, Dobro Mesto (specifically, the shipyard area), Trevno, and the Coal Mine. While many players will want to shoot straight for locations like the Cement Factory, the Castle, Sawmill, and Volnova, these other, slightly lesser-traveled locations not only provide a good tactical advantage for players but often contain large amounts of top tier loot, which is something people will definitely need if they're looking to earn themselves a (likely frozen) chicken dinner in PlayerUnknown's BATTLEGROUN5895611166_0c22cf6e27.jpg
